Dr. Vandit Sardana is an Orthopedic Surgeon providing non-operative Sports Medicine and Orthopedics care at Wintergreen Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine through its affiliate Winston Park Medical Center.

Dr. Sardana works with patients to assess, preserve and restore joint function, providing care based on the best and current evidence in the field of orthopedics and sports medicine. He is proficient in leading-edge joint preservation, non-surgical and surgical techniques.

Dr. Sardana grew up in Mississauga and Oakville, and studied forensic science for his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto where he graduated top of his class. Subsequently, he went on to obtain a Master in Science from the University of Toronto, where he had the opportunity to do some research work with some world-renowned scientists.

Dr. Sardana obtained his Doctorate in Medicine (MD) from the University of Ottawa and his residency training at McMaster University. Subsequently, he went on to do a Fellowship in Total Joint Reconstruction at the renowned Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where he trained under some of the world-renowned surgeons pioneering the Joint Preservation and Replacement techniques that exist today.

At Wintergreen Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine, Dr. Sardana practices non-operative sports medicine, taking a holistic approach toward his patients, and helping with all kinds of sports injuries. He also provides joint preservation techniques for degenerative joints, providing injections for joints, bursa, tendonitis, trigger fingers, carpal tunnel, etc. Additionally, Dr. Sardana provides regenerative injections, such as platelet-rich plasma.

Dr. Sardana has an array of academic scholarships and awards at every level of his training. During his undergraduate and master’s, he was employed as a teaching assistant for numerous courses, and during his residency training, he was employed as a clinical skills preceptor for first-year medical students – Dr. Sardana truly has a passion for teaching.

Dr. Sardana has worked on broadly ranging orthopedic research projects and volunteered extensively for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as well.

He is an active fellow of Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, American College of Surgeons, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He keeps his knowledge up-to-date by attending the annual meetings and learning about the innovations in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his wife and three kids, reading, playing ping pong and occasional golf when he can get out on the course.

Dr. Sardana is welcoming and accepting non-operative sports medicine and orthopedic surgery referrals for patients in the Halton and Peel Region and surrounding areas.

Doctorate in Medicine (MD) University of Ottawa

Fellowship in Total Joint Reconstruction at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City
